We have been having so much fun this week with Sweet Stamp Shop Stamps!
Have you hopped over to their blog? They have some GREAT ideas for using Canvas Corp Products!
(yesterday’s was my favorite…so far!)

Today project is by…ME! Keri!
For this project, I used Sweet Stamp Shop’s “Against the Grain” Stamp Set, Canvas Corp’s “French Baby Girl Words on Ivory” and “Baby Girl Sampler” and Canvas Corp’s pink Cardstock.
The pictures of my daughter aren’t the best (even though her chunky-cheekers are adorable!), but I’m OK with that because Canvas Corp gave me the perfect words to say about what I want for my little girl.
I used Sweet Stamp Shop’s “Against the Grain” Stamp set, BUT instead of seeing it as a woodgrain, my girly-girl mind thought “HUH…that kind of looks like a zebra print.” So I used the LARGE grained stamp and stamped it twice a piece of PINK Canvas Corp paper and then added a thick black embossing powder to add some shine and texture. I used a paper punch to make the fun notebook edge to break up the straight lines a little.
I did the same thing using the small woodgrain “buttons” that come with the set as well and used them as accents in my strip journaling that I cut from the Canvas Corp Baby Girl Sampler.
Here’s a close up of the “zebra print” and the journaling.
I hope you enjoyed by project today! It’s a far jump from my normal style, but here’s my philosophy on scrapbooking:
Sometimes we scrap to learn a new technique.
Sometimes we scrap because we have the perfect picture.
And sometimes we scrap just because we have something to say.
That’s what this layout is about.
Come back tomorrow for one more day of scrappy, hopping fun!
