7gypsies/Canvas Home Basics meets Authentique’s Curiosity Line
Don’t you love mixing and matching product to come up with unique projects? Simply by using a touch of metal like 7gypsies Antique Brass Pyramid Studs, a few natural accents like Canvas Corp’s Kraft Corrugated Cardstock and Small Natural Clothespins, and a combination of papers and accents from Authentiques’ Curiosity Line, Casey Nelson has created the cutest 7gypsies Solo Tray featuring her handsome puppy Cysco. I love the oodles of textures that are layered to add dimension. If you look closely, letter stickers are layered on canvas then kraft corrugate paper and then held in place by a paper covered clothespin… so clever the way the simple layers make this project seem like so much more than a paper craft.
Casey’s ATC Envelopes are another study in layers. She applied gesso to envelopes cut from 7gypsies Postale paper line using stamps, then accented with Tattered Angels Plain Jane in Soft Black. Next, Casey topped it off with Canvas Fabric pieces, Jute Rope, and Kraft Corrugated Cardstock from Canvas Corp, and papers from Authentique’s Curiosity Line. I don’t want to neglect to mention her clever use of a common household item… masking tape can be found under the title at the top of each card. How fun? Simply tear it and layer with your printed and specialty papers.
