Holiday Blog Hop with Canvas Corp & Petaloo: Day 3

It’s here– Day 3 of our blog hop with Petaloo! Are you feeling inspired yet? Meet Candy Rosenberg, her wreath turned itself into a tree and we love it.  That is what is so fun about working with a big box of goodies, you really don’t know what you will create and that is apparent with each one of our Crew projects.  Candy brings her steampunk vibe while embracing the mixed media craze.   It is truly hard to stay within the rules when there are so many great ideas going on in the head’s of our Crew members.

The tree is constructed around a pre-made cardboard cone and then layers of fabric and paper goodness are added to create this mixed media tree.  Consider making a collection of trees or putting it in the center of your wreath… the options are endless.

cc_tree3The addition of feathers and using a feathered cardstock technique gives the extra texture in the tree and the ornaments and features are Petaloo flowers.  You don’t have to always use red and green when thinking about the holidays, we love to try unique color combinations.  Thanks Candy, we love your tree!!!!
